Bridget's Story
Life
I'm still in Missouri and loving it. Still married with 3 kids. We are a very outdoorsy family. We have just picked up a new hobby, Geocaching, and love it! Anyone that comes this way, give me a holler!
School
Don't know what to say about high school. I partied too much. I made some good friends, some who I am still in touch with today. It's funny how things turn out. I don't party at all now, at least not like then. I don't drink or do drugs or smoke now. If I could do it over again, I'd respect myself more. Some teachers I will never forget. Like that coach I introduced to my mom. Or Mr. Brinkley, who still managed to get info into our wasted minds! I'd love to be able to go back to Cleveland and see everyone again, including the teachers. That would be neat.
College
My biggest regret would have to be when I passed up the chance to go to University of Texas. Got accepted, but told my parents, that I would probably party most of the time, and didn't want to waste their money. What a dope I was! One day I wil...Expand for more
l go, and I will become a teacher.
Workplace
Well, after high school, I went to New Orleans for about a year, where I was a receptionist for a home improvement loan company. Missed home so came back. Went to Houston where I was a waitress for Birra Poretti's for about 2 years. Then went to work for Bill Douglas' Shoe Box, where I started out selling children's shoes then ended up in the main office. We decided to start a family, and ended up staying home. Moved to Missouri and worked in the stock room part/time for Coldwater Creek while my kids were in school. Decided to go back to work full time, so I took a job with the Lutheran Church Extension Fund - Missouri Synod. I am the secretary to the President and his assistant. I love where I work now and will probably stay here for a while.
Military
I don't have any military experience. I should have gone into the Navy. It would have given me the adventure and training.
My nephew is in the Marines (Amanda & Gene Kerr's son). That's about as close to my involvement it gets.
