Vicki's Story
Hello everyone,
I am currently working for the State Of Texas as a Case Manager for the Department of Aging and Disability Services. I really love what I do. I have 3 beautiful girls ages 15, 11, and 6. I am very involved in all their activities, especially sports. I have coached basketball through the Boys and Girls club as a volunteer for about 7 years. This year we finally earned 1st place and I received my first "Coach of the Year" award! I am also coaching t-ball/softball this year for my 6yr old daughter's team. It is so exciting to see how much these children improve throughout the years. I am currently attending Christian Fellowship Church in Harlingen, I have been going there for a little over a year and I love it!!!! I soon want to join the Praise and Worship team. In the past couple of years, my relationship with God has become stronger than ever, I am so blessed!!! Drop me a line and let me know what you are up to!!
From the Story Wizard:
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have prayer, coffee , and water to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
The wildest thing I did while at VBA was going to Atlantis after graduation and getting locked out of the dorms; having to climb back in through a window and almost not getting my diploma the next day!
My hero will always be my mother;...Expand for more
she set a good example for me.
Since graduating, I have lived in Marshall, Tx., Pasadena, Tx., Humble, Tx., and Combes, Tx.. I mainly moved around due to family and work.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Everardo Ibarra, because he was my best friend.
Of course Sports is one of my obsessions! I should've been a Junior High or HIgh School coach.
As a parent, I've lrearned that everything my parents told me was right even though I hated to listen and obey. Everything that goes around, comes around.
The teacher I would love to see again would be Mr. Hendricks; he was always understanding and ready to give good advice. Also, Mr. Galindo, he taught me to be strong and give everything your all.
My current age is 38. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old and boring. I was so completely wrong.
My one do-over in life would be to finish college.
In 10 years, I hope to be self employed. I'm going to get there by planning.
My oldest(longest) friendship I've had would have to be Kelly. She was my childhood best friend. Although we dont' talk over the phone, we e-mail eachother a lot to keep in touch. We are both Libra's and we lived a couple of houses away from eachother.
I guess people would be surprised as to how much weight I've gained but I am working on it!!!!
