Brittany's Story
Life
I graduated with Highest Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002 with a degree in Political Science and History. While at UNC, I enjoyed sorority life as a Kappa Kappa Gamma and spent my nights on "Top of the Hill," but luckily I still managed to snag a Phi Beta Kappa key.
I immensely enjoyed my four years in the "Southern Part of Heaven," but I went to the dark side to attend law school down the road at Duke University. After law school, I clerked for a United States Court of Appeals judge in Memphis, Tennessee. I loved life in the delta, but my clerkship (unfortunately) lasted only one year. At the end of the year, I moved to Washington, D.C. to work for Kirkland & Ellis, LLP--a large firm where I am a litigation associate.
But before I left Memphis, I met my fiance, C. Lacey Biles. We will start our married life in D.C. after our June 2009 wedding at Duke University Chapel and our reception at the Carolina Inn.
