Butch's Story
Life
It has been an interesting life so far. Lived in a lot of different places and met a lot of interesting people. I've lived on an Indian reservation, in a logging camp, in small towns and big cities. Lived from the midwest to the west coast. Sometimes I thought it would be nice to stay in one place for a while, but then I wouldn't have met all of the people that I did.
Marriage: I have been married three times. The first for seven years. The second for thirteen years and so far six years on the third. My Wife tells me this is my last, no matter what.
Children: I have two children & one Step-daughter. Tammy Dawn is 35 and Christopher Paul is 33. My step-daughter Deidre is 37 and has given me two beautiful Granddaughters. Marissa Nicole is almost 8 and Emma Marie is 4.
Work: I worked for an engineering company my last year of High School and continued there for fifteen years, until the company was sold and moved. I've worked for an aerospace firm for last twenty-seven and hope to retire soon.

I was one of the lucky people, or unlucky depending on your point of view, that moved around a lot. I attended East High in Kansas City Missouri my 8th and most of my 9th grades [1961-1963]. I then moved to Natoma, Kansas to finish out my 9th grade at Natoma High [1963-1963]. I then moved to Deepwater, Missouri and attended Deepwater High my 10th grade [1963-1964]. Once again we moved, this time back to Kansas City, Missouri, where I attended Westport High for my 11th grade [1964-1965]. Finally we moved to Torrance California where I attended North High my Senior year [1965-1966]. Sometimes it was great to be gypsies, sometimes not.
Workplace
In my Senior year I went to work in September of 1965 for Barry L. Miller Engineering, Inc. Located in Gardena at that time, we moved to Irvine in 1972. After fifteen years the company was sold and moved to San Diego. I chose not to move with the company. In April of 1980, I went to work for Parker Aerospace in Irvine and have been with them for the last twenty seven years.
