C Dan's Story

I went to Orpha Rural School near Douglas, WY until the 4th grade, then moved to Glendo, WY and graduated from High School there in 1964. I joined the U.S. Air Force in 1965, got my draft notice for the Army while I was in Basic Training at Lackland AFB, Texas. Went to technical trade school at Amarillo AFB, Texas and then went to Osan AB, S. Korea in Oct 1965 for 13 months. Then went to Lowry AFB, CO from Nov 1966-June 1968. Assigned to Phan Rang AB, S. astern Wyoming College from Sept 1969-May 1970 and returned to Lysite, WY and met the love of my Life in Shoshoni, WY and we got married Oct 31, 1970. I worked at several things unitl Oct 1973 when I went to work for the Wyoming State Parks & Historic Sites until I retired in Oct 2004. I now drive a school bus 4 hours+ a day. I also was in the WY Army National Guard for a short while in the early 70s. Melissa and I have two wonderful children and 8 great grandchildren, 3 boys & 5 girls. I am a cancer survivor of about 15 years now. We now live in Rawlins, WY.
