C.H.'s Story

Life In May 2000, I took early retirement from the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA), now called the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), as an Imagery and Geospatial Scientist, GM-15. While at NIMA, I traveled extensively on US Government business, primarily to England, Italy, Greece, and Turkey. In March 2001, I traveled throughout Australia, primarily to Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, and into the Outback. I enjoyed living in the Rockies and at the foot of "America's Mountain" (Pikes Peak) for 15 years. The photograph posted above was taken upon retirement from NIMA at the GPS Master Control Station, Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO. I lost my wife (Gwen) to cancer in May 2005 and re-married (Alexandra) in August 2009. After the beachside wedding in Florida, we took ten of the "Yours and Mine" adult...Expand for more
offspring with us on the honeymoon cruise in the Carribean. Alex is a published author (pen name: Alexandra Everist), including "A Katrina Moment", "No Place To Call Home", and "No Place to Go Home". I have three biological offspring (Shanika, Shane, and Carlie); two step-sons by Gwen (Dennis and Mark); four step-sons by Alex (James, Giles, Grahame, and Brandon); and one step-daughter by Alex (Phaedra). I currently live in southwestern Germany near the border with France and enjoy traveling around Europe. Several family members came to Europe recently and we all attended the 200th Anniversary of OktoberFest in Munich (see photo) to celebrate another milestone birthday (my BIG 6-0!). I would enjoy hearing from old friends and classmates. My mailing address is: 31 Miesenbacher Strasse, Ramstein-Miesenbach, Germany 66877. God Bless America!
