Callista's Story
Life
Hope everyone from the class of 88 is doing well. I have had my classmates.com account since 03 and have failed to visit regularly. I received the postcard to update my info for the reunion and logged back in. I found several people had left me mail over the last few years that I failed to respond to. I promise I was not ignoring you, I just did not check the site!
I have been very busy with life, work, and lifeÂ
Anyway, after graduation I became a professional college student for several years while I continued to work for my family. In the early 90Âs I moved to Ohio and quickly returned to Florida after I experienced snow from Halloween until Easter. I have been back in Florida for quite a while now, and am happy to announce after time I found my focus in college and I have completed my BS and Masters degrees. I have two wonderful and active boys, and we live in Port Orange with the most wonderful man in the world. We stay busy in sports, camping ...Expand for more
and experiencing the wonderful yet demanding world of parenting.
As for work, I know some of you may laugh since I probably was not the best student, but I work for Volusia County Schools as a teacher. I have been working in education for about 10 years and spent some time in Administration until my role as an Administrator and my role as a single mother conflicted. Each job deserved my undivided attention, and with no regrets, my kids now get my undivided attention. I have a great job and really enjoy what I do. In the summer I collaborate/consult with a grant project affiliated with UCF. I have had terrific opportunities to expand my professional development without compromising my family.
I attend one day of the last reunion but I really think I my take a walk down memory lane and attend more days of the next one. If you have time leave me some mail and let me know whatÂs going on in your life. It will be nice to keep in touch before the reunion!
