Candace's Story
I've been struggling since 2006 with a heart illness called Long QT Syndrome. I've had two pacemaker/defibrilators in the past three years. Although, my dreams as a massage therapist (previous occupation 2005-2006) are no longer in my future, that hasn't stopped me at all! I've continued with my painting and I do fabulous Murals for homes in the Kansas City area. You can catch me at home making hula hoops, which I've jsut started to do!, or at a local venue in midtown/downtown listening to live jam band music. Where you can see me hoop too! Since Corinth, I moved north of the river and went to Lakeview Middle School and then off the Park Hill South High School. I dabbled at Kansas City Art Institute for a bit when I realized I wanted to be a massage therapist. Went to School at PCI down in lawrence and then started working right away at Anatomy Day Spa in Westport, which is now no longer there. Not even a year into my massaging I blacked out at the wheel to find I had a heart condition. It's been a long and crazy ride, but I'm still here with a smile on my face!
