Candice's Story
I was rather quiet back at Walbrook. At least, I think I was. I loved the English, History, and Art classes. I was in Beverly Marshall-Johnson's dance troupe. I attended school year round, so I had the chance to graduate in 1973. Short-sighted person that I was, I opted to stay because the 1974 class seemed like they were "more fun."
After graduation, I went to college. So far, I have degrees from Coppin, and Johns Hopkins. I have attended Boston University, BCCC, Univ. of Balto. , and Harvard. I really enjoyed Coppin.
In 1976, I converted/reverted to the religion of Islam.

nd step-grandchildren.
In 2002, I returned to Baltimore after having lived in other cities. At that time, my two youngest children transferred to Walbrook and graduated from there. My son was an honor student, class of 2004. My daughter was the valedictorian, class of 2005. Go Warriors.
When my children attended the school, it did not have nearly as many resources as it did when we were there. That is sad. We have regressed.
Now, there is no "Walbrook" proper, as it has been subdivided into smaller schools.
During the day, I work for Baltimore City Schools. In the eve, I am an adjunct professor at Hopkins's School of Ed grad school. I write. I do public speaking. I have jokes. I want to help make my community better.
