Carlos's Story
Hi everyone! Welcome to my story. I left Willingboro in 1981 and graduated from High School in Carolina, Puerto Rico. From Puerto Rico I attended Temple University in Philadelphia for a year and then finally followed my dream and joined the Navy. While enlisted I served aboard a few submarines and other ships while having the opportunity to see the world. Since my ultimate goal was to become a Naval Intelligence Officer I applied for and received a scholarship for the Univ. of Pennsylvania NROTC program. rriers, and ashore. I recently retired from naval intelligence after 23 years in the Navy and now live outside of Washington DC in MD.
In between all of that I got married to the love of my life; have a wonderful 5 year old son; earned a few degrees; volunteered with Big Brothers; pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.; climbed Mt. Fuji; played a lot of golf; learned a new language. On the down side I lost my mother to heart disease a few years ago and have had my share of failures. But overall I've lived a good life and met some wonderful people along the way!
