Katrina's Story
Life
Hello there all. Katrina here--remember me?! :) Well, I went to school at CMSU (like most everyone else) and got my degree in sociology with a minor in music and met and married my sweetheart, Carl Doud, from Belton class of 87. After college we moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma where Carl got his Master's degree in entomology and commissioned to become a Naval officer--which was quite a jump from his enlisted days in the Air Force. Our first duty station was Jacksonville Florida where we welcomed our first-born, Kiernan, into the world. When Kiernan was 10 months old we left Jax and moved across the ocean to Sicily, Italy and have been living there since. We're still living in Sicily via the Navy and have been here 3+ years now. we plan to have one more and then that will be IT! lol I'm a stay at home mom and Carl is currently deployed to Kuwait for a 6 months. As of my writing of this, we are almost 1/2 way through and we have thus far survived--but only with lots of prayer. You name it, it's happened, car trouble, sick kids, etc. It's a good thing I am well taken care of and supported by the community here and most importantly by a God who loves me. :) I am still singing when I get the chance but it's mostly at church. At 30, I still have big dreams of being a diva but now, with three children and one more probably in the future, I think my days of singing the lead in Les Mis are long gone. That's ok, though, I wouldn't trade my life now for anything. Anyway, that's my life in a nutshell! I do wonder about many of you quite a bit and hope you are all well! :) Blessings!
