Carl's Story
Life
Hey, friends and neighbors! It seems like so many things have transpired in 30 years, it's hard to choose where to start. After high school, I attended Ball State University for 1 1/2 years. I was financing my own way, so after that, I worked at a steel mill in northwest Indiana. I forgot about my schooling and stayed there 9 years. After that, I was laid-off. I finally got enough courage and went back to school. I worked my way through Purdue University and graduated in 1986. I graduated in Restaurant and Hotel Management and proceeded to work...Expand for more
at certain upper scale hotels in Chicago. During this time, I self taught myself calligraphy and became a gourmet cook! However, I could see the handwriting on the wall, if I didn't run the joint, I would never enjoy the rewards of my deeds. I switched careers and worked for United Airlines for 6 years. Although that had its' many ups and downs, I was able to travel around the world to every continent except Anarctica and the Australia. With all the turmoil at the airline, I left there and I am currently working at Amtrak. I love you all. Take care.
