Carla's Story
Life
I have just celebrated 21 years of marriage. I have 2 children, Ashby and Caroline, 16 and 13, respectively. I have been working for the Federal Government for 24 years and getting close to retirement. I like to exercise, geneology research, artwork - paint specifically, read, study, work with kids, and fly fish. I work with middle school kids at church. I love the Lord and look forward all the time to knowing him more - now don't take that as religious or preachy - I have a relationship with God - it is what it is! I am conservative and extremely patriotic. I love the United States. I enjoy travel. Love to spend time with my children and husband. I have 2 cats. I have a list of things I want to do before I die and I am workin...Expand for more

College
I did not have the college experience of going off and staying in a dorm and mom and dad picking up the tab. I started working right out of high school and went to BPCC and took many business classes. I worked the entire time I took college classes. I went to LSUS for a 9 month paralegal program and earned a certificate. After that I landed my Govt job and started going to school at night at LA Tech Barksdale. When I realized that I would be staying on with the Govt., I had 3 years of college, but decided just to go ahead and get something on paper, so I had enough hours for a general studies associate degree and got out! Now I just take fun classes - art, etc.
