Carol's Story

Life As my sons have experienced and enjoyed their high school years, it has brought back a flood of great memories of my HS years at WCS!! Hard to believe so many yrs have passed since that time. I have lived in New England since 1976, and in 1982 was married here. We have 2 great sons, who are both in college, ages 20& 22. I am working as a pediatric nurse practitioner in a school based health clinic in an elementary school. It's a great job - the clinic provides primary health care to kids who may not otherwise be able to get it. l concept. It also allows my work time to be based on the school calendar year, so I'm off pretty much when my own kids are off!! (Not always a good thing as far as they're concerned!!). My husband is employed by Verizon. We enjoy doing things, such as traveling and cruising, as a famiy. Both boys were active on soccer traveling teams for many years (both as goalkeepers), so we traveled frequently to out of state tournaments with them. We get back home to Worcester several times a year to visit with family. When the kids were younger, we used to bring them over to the WCS playground to play - it always seemed so strange to be over there as a parent rather than as a student!! My mom passed away in 1997 from cancer, but we continue to visit with the rest of the family back home.
