Life
FORGIVE ME! I haven't replied to messages left for me due to time constraints. Will get to them asap.
Too many moves and too many schools, it's always amazing when someone does remember me. Heartwarming too! This year I will be married for 42 years..miraculous when one considers the divorce rate! Of course, I was 10 when I got married! LOL! Another miracle, I'm a breast cancer survivor, so far. On Long Island, one in seven will deal with this problem. On a lighter note, we've produced three children, all of whom have college degrees, one of my life's goals to see that they had opportunities that I didn't have. I thoroughly enjoyed motherhood, PTA, total involvement at the elementary school level and later, cheering from the bleachers and soccer fields in the metro area, always toting a camera, beach chair, blanket, food and water. This new life phase is taking some getting used to. My youngest moved to Germany. She loves Munich, studies the German language, and is seeking to establish herself there. UPDATE: My Noelle just moved back to the USA. She taught English to German speaking people from around the world for Berlitz. The day of the coup, she flew to Thailand where she received her scuba diving license. This was followed by 4 weeks in the jungle volunteering at an animal rescue preserve. Then, 2 weeks in China. Now she's ready to hit the job market in NYC. My eldest moved to Florida from New Hampshire. No more snow! Jet Blue enables me to visit there economically. n raised in English and Nederlander (Dutch) and has a love for Spanish. Mix in some baby talk and we're often perplexed. But, he's been a whiz on the computer for several years. UPDATE: Skye, 5, is flourishing and there's mutual adoring between him and his teacher. He loves school. Wolf, almost one, chases his brother all over the house via crawling. No doubt he will follow in languages and on the computer. UPDATE: Wolf is almost 3 and is fast on his feet. "You can't catch me!" Both boys have become big brothers to Rose April on Jan. 8, 2007.
Yes, my beloved JetBlue really screwed up and I was in the midst of the quagmire on Feb. 15, 07. Took me 24 hours to get back to NY's JFK. I still don't know where my baggage is.
I spend a half day working in the family business doing data updates and mailings. The family business is sunmachinery.com. Always interesting.
I'm grateful to be able to do anything! Ongoing treatment affects one's energy but never the spirit. I'm a very fortunate woman. I've been in foster homes and an orphanage and there's a period of childhood that I don't know where I was. And there's no one to ask, of course. But, my longest time in one location was at 721 Carroll St., Brooklyn, where I attended for a while JHS 51 and Bay Ridge High School for Girls. It would be wonderful to round up those friends. And, who is visiting my profile? Do you know me? Please e-mail me..so far I see that 15 have..and to me that's an impressive number. UPDATE: 179! Don't be shy!
