Carol's Story
Life
I still have the last name of "Scates" because I married a man with the same last name as mine! How we met is an unusual story. Alas, we are not together now, but I have two children, a son named Cameron who's 13 and a daughter named Allison who's 10. We also have 3 cats, even though I'm a dog person, (smile). I grew up on Bricelyn Street and attended Crescent Elementary School. I still remember all of my old neighbors and those on Tokay, Seagirt, and Wilkinsburg Avenues and all my classmates from Homewood. I graduated from...Expand for more
Peabody, but I know a lot of the Westinghouse 1969 graduates from my childhood. I did attend Westinghouse briefly during my 9th year before I transferred. I graduated from the U. of Pittsburgh. My folks still live in Pittsburgh and I am there for a week every summer. My older brother, Harold, (Westinghouse '64) is recently deceased. I live in Old Town, Alexandria and lucky me is only about 5 minutes from my job. I miss Pittsburgh. I have a lot of fond memories from my childhood and would like to hear from my old neighbors and chums.
