Carol's Story
Life
After graduating from UW-Madison, I taught kindergarten for 6 years. During that time, I married Pete. I stayed home with my two daughters while they were growing up, and in 1990 we moved to Dallas, where we lived for 10 years. During that time, our girls attended high school and college, and I began my career with GTE/Verizon. Pete and I then moved to St. Louis where I worked for Verizon Wireless. d my career with Verizon Wireless in Bellevue, Washington until October, 2006, when I retired and moved to Austin, Texas. One of my daughters, Tara, was a kindergarten teacher for 8 years, and is now living in Houston and taking care of our grandchildren, Grace and Reid. My other daughter, Dana, is a forensic chemist in Austin. Pete and I are enjoying our retirement with travel and spending time with our children and our adorable grandchildren.
