Carolyn's Story
Professionally, it took forever, but graduated from UW with a BA in broadcast journalism and then spent 13 years in broadcasting. Highlights include 5 years at KIRO AM where I was fortunate to be sent to the Soviet Union in 1982 for 2 weeks, was radio news director at Oregon Public Broadcasting and freelanced for National Public Radio. rnor's office working for Gary Locke. Favorite part of the 15 years was working for County Executive Ron Sims before he went to Obama Admin.
On the personal side, I am divorced, I have a daughter who is a deputy King County prosecutor in the criminal division. I have season tickets to the ballet and the symphony and take in live jazz performances. I have a wonderful group of friends and am lucky to live close enough to most of my family to visit regularly.
