Carolyn's Story
Life
After graduation, I got married and started a family. After 8 years of marriage, divorced but stayed friends. We have three wonderful boys (Andrew - 19, Alex - 17, and Arick - 15). Between football and friends, they keep me busy. I met Troy over 10 years ago and am surprised he still wants to be with me. We bought a house in Sterling Heights about 5 years ago.
I have been working for a CPA Firm in Bloomfield Hills for the past 10 years. I attended the University of Phoenix a degree in eBusiness.
In my spare time, I play softball. I coached and played on a co-ed team this past season and we actually came in 1st. In the winter months, I am on a couples bowling league. Always thought bowling was for old people, now I believe it is just so I can go out and drink. I have also learned how to snowboard over the last few years. I am not good at it but I think it is better than skiing and I can stay on my feet. I am also the vice president of the athletic boosters and Henry Ford II High School and enjoy reliving my high school life through the kids eyes. I think I was alot worse than my kids.
School
My biggest crush would depend on the year. Mike...Expand for more
S. in 6th grade, Steve M. and Tommy K. were sweet in junior high and high school. Adam always had a special place in my heart during high school but didn't know it.
There are alot of things I would do differently but I couldn't amagine life without my boys.
My favorite memories were the parties in the pines with Trudy, then drivers training the next day and of course all the back road parties. I stopped drinking beer shortly after that. Anytime Steph and I got together seemed to be fun or eventful. Especially when her and Denny broke the bed at Ron A. house. Cheerleading was alway fun until I started hyperventalating. Sharing a locker with Bobbi-Jo was entertaining.
Workplace
My first job was clearing out ditches for the county. Next came housekeeping at the medical center in Goodells. Then it was off to McDonald's. From there it was retail, daycare and now accounting. I started at a CPA firm over 10 years ago working in the file room. Within 6 months was promoted to payables, then client work was added and now I run the billing department, payables department and go to client sites when needed. I am also the assistant to the controller.
