Carolyn's Story
Life
My family moved to Goderich in September 1967 from England where we were living while my Dad had a one year posting with the military. Arriving in Goderich I went to Victor Lauriston Public School for one year 1967 to 1968 and then graduated from Grade 8. I have a photo which looks bizarre now with the weird fashions and hairdos from that day but I didn't write names on it so am not sure who many are.

I went for Grades 9 , 10 and 11 and then we moved again to Ottawa Ontario. While at GDCI I was there from Sept 1968 to the summer of 1971.
We moved to Ottawa in July 1971 to Blackburn Hamlet where I lived and I went to Colonel By Secondary School from Sept 1971 until June 1974.
I remember going on the school bus down past Green's Creek. I also remember that was the very first year Col By opened and we had a big ceremony on the front lawn in Sept 1971, the official opening!
