Carrie's Story
Those of you who remember me probably remember that I didn't really fit into any one group. I hung out with some jocks, some "nerds," some "burnouts," some brains, some airheads, and some of those who seemed to be "invisible." Personally, I never tried to classify my friends that way. I just hung out with people I liked. I am still the same way.
I graduated from Pitt with a Master's in the Art of Teaching in 1992. I held several jobs - some teaching and some not - from then until 2001. In 2001, I began working with children with autism. I stayed there for four years. At that time, I felt that I needed to get back into teaching, and I have been at Pittsburgh Technical Institute since 2005. On the personal side, I have a son, who is currently 15 going on 25. He is an amazing part of my life. He also attends Moon Area School District and is in high school. Obviously, I still live in the area. I did move away, twice, but I keep coming back. I have not married, although I have had some serious relationships. To sound cliche, I just haven't found Mr. Right.
I still see a few people from high school - mainly my closest friends. But, there are a few I've lost touch with. Oddly enough, I have lost touch with most of my college friends. You would think it would be the other way around. But, that's what brought me to this site. I was hoping to find a few people I have not heard from in a while.
