Carter's Story
Life
Carter L. Wilson III was born in Washington, D.C. Son of a career naval officer, he traveled the world, as well as every state and territory of the United States. He retired after 36 years with the Federal government and currently works full-time in genealogy and related fields. With more than 35 years of research experience, Mr. Wilson is an author, publisher, educator and lecturer.
Mr. Wilson is a member of the Advisory Board for Everton's Family History Magazine and webmaster for the Idaho Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists. He proudly sits on the Executive B...Expand for more
oard of the Ore-Ida Council of the Boy Scouts of America and is a representative to the National Council of the BSA. He is a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow, the Boy Scout's Honor Society and holds numerous awards and honors.
He is married to the former Gail Buehler, has three children and is the owner and managing director of Family Research Group in Boise, Idaho. His specialties include military records, Mayflower and Plymouth Colony records, Northwest and Southern states as well as Scottish and United States records and research.
