Catherine's Story
Life
I just painted my house in Austin to look like a Caribbean bungaloo (bright blue with parrot green trim). It is now the Hula Hut at Hartford Road. I drive a great red convertible and have four pets: Buddy, the black lab, Bandit, the blue tick heeler and two tuxedo cats--Carl & Malcolm. Unfortunately, I have no children and I remain cautiously optimistic after learning that Lauren Harrison had twins last October! I practice entertainment law and also train lawyers in communication and marketing. I have been to the Grammy awards show twice (so far) in LA and NYC. I love to visit Paris and try my best to get there twice a year. I am also planning on buying a second home there. I have a great guy who plays the bass guitar and is touring on the West Coast right now. I was on the Power of Attorney Fox TV show as one of their featured attorneys and can tell you that is the most fun I have ever had and gotten paid for it. I am still singing and remain commited to the notion that when I win the lottery, I will front a jazz band in a red dress. I spend my free time walking the hike and bike trail, listening to jazz music, locally and at Jazz festivals around the country (and hopefully the world), drinking adult beverages from fish bowls at the Hula Hut and riding around in the car with the dogs in it and the top down. Life is good.

high school was Bubba Stark. I regret not staying with him after high school. I also regret not being in the high school band, taking choir and French (instead of Latin!) and not majoring in music. I also had a crush on Ken Sharp in junior high school, but never told anyone until our 25th year reunion. Apparently, he knew..........

Workplace
I joined the Board of Governors for the Recording Academy in June 2006 and just returned from the 49th Grammy Award show. The rest of this doesn't really matter...what can top eighth row seats right by the stage?....I started doing political consulting during college at The University of Texas at Austin. I have practiced law in Austin in 1986. I started the Tabor Law Firm on April 1, 1993 and have been "kicking #%$ and taking names" ever since. I won two cases of first impression against the Medicaid Agency in Texas, in 2001 and in 2004. I have transitioned my law practice over the last ten years to focus on entertainment law and am having lots more fun. I represent musicians, film makers, authors, magazine publishers. I also do freelance coummunication and marketing training for lawyers. I practice law with my labrador and blue tick heeler at my feet. Life is good.
