Cathy's Story
It was hard being a hillbilly in yankee country. I knew there was a world outside of Continental and I couldn't wait to get there. Haleyville is the size of Toledo. And it is wonderful.
I met my wonderful husband Greag at church 6 months after I moved here. It was love at first sight. We were married 2 years later. The first 4 years of our marriage saw us working and going to college. Our daughter was born during our 5th year.

ams, during our daughters school years. She graduated high school and college and is successful in her work.
I can't really say that I miss Ohio or Continental. I miss my nieces and nephews that live there and the few friends I had that I keep up with.
My life in Continental and High School was a million years ago. I was so unhappy there. And I am so happy here. We are to grow where we are planted. I have planted myself here and put down deep roots, it's where I belong.
And just for those of you that want to know: I have never smoked, drank or done drugs in my entire life.
