Cathy's Story
Two years ago at the class reunion luncheon, we were asked to stand and re-introduce ourselves telling what we've been doing since graduation. If it had been a roomful of 6 year-olds I would have been more at ease! And the others seemed far more interesting than I could ever hope to be. I did the usual...college, marriage and family. My three wonderful sons are out on their own now and I guess I could be called an empty-nester. However! I am living in the Bootheel of MO, keeping busy with various committees, clubs and traveling. , we may play "tourist" in HS some day. One of my sons took me to Italy for a week for my sixtieth birthday. Carolyn Cooper and I spent a week in NYC and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves; she is such a good traveling companion. Mary Ann Stasick has also joined us on one of the short ventures. She's great to be around, also. I visit family in HS at least once a month and try to check in with a few friends while there. Obviously, there will never be a reality show about me but I find life fulfilling, especially with my eldest son and daughter-in-law's two precious little boys. I know, the word "grandmother" was intentionally omitted; I am not handling this aging thing graciously or gracefully.
