Cathy's Story

Life Since graduating at Highland in 1976, I have been a Youth Minister in 5 different churches. I have coached and taught at the mid school, high school and college level. I have worked for Albuquerque Nissan, and been the general manager of 2 fitness facilities in Albuquerque. Now I am a "stay at home mom" with our 3 adopted children from Ohio. All three have very special needs and require much supervision. I married Lee Bonner who is a graduate of Del Norte High School in Albuquerque, and we currently live in Texas where Lee is a physician assistant in neurosurgery. I have fond memories of attending high school in Albuquerque, but have never been able to go to any reunions due to coaching obligations. h old friends as we both grew up in Albuquerque. We both dearly miss the mountains and beautiful sunsets of New Mexico, and look forward to fishing the streams once again for rainbow trout. My parents and Lee's parents were long time residents of Albuquerque, so that is where most of our family members and close friends reside. Texas is beautiful as well, and now that we live on The Shooting Star Ranch there are countless chores to keep us all busy. With our horses, cattle, dogs, and cats there are many four-legged friends that are family to us here. We all love it on the ranch and my Mom enjoys sitting on the back porch watching the calves play in the pastures, and the horses running by enjoying the sunshine in God's great outdoors. I can't imagine a nicer way to spend time each day!
