Cathy's Story
Life
After Mowat, I spent four years at University of Guelph getting a B.Sc. in biology. I moved to Parry Sound in 1988 for a summer job with the Ministry of Natural Resources at the Wildlife Lab. That position led to other stints as a fisheries tech, forest data tech and eventually, a "permanent" staff Resource Technician position. A couple ...Expand for more
of years after becoming "permanent", a whole bunch of staff was "permanently" laid-off, so in 1996 I started my own business. I now own and operate NovaKennel Dog and Cat Boarding, and own a home on about 100 acres just south of Parry Sound.
I got married to Mark Scissons in 1997 - no kids - if we want our family to grow, we'll get another dog.
