Cathy's Story
Well, whadda ya know!! I’ve wound up living in beautiful Baja, Mexico!!! It was time for some long-awaited adventure, so I packed up the 2 dogs and 18 year old cat and moved to the beach!!! Couldn’t take the heat or the political climate in the US any longer, so I am officially an expat and loving it!!! Mexico is like a dream come true. The people, the food, the beach at my doorstep, the wine, the arts community, did I mention the food???
The kindness of the Mexican people is unsurpassed. The expat community here is truly that. A community. I have made life-long friends and I have truly found the place I am meant to be. Kids are all grown, last one graduated from college last year, my husband ...Expand for more
of 29 years is working in another state, so he said “go for it!!” He will join me permanently when he retires in a few more years.
I do go back to Southern California occasionally, as I am still directing plays and producing some events. But I try to go as little as possible.
And now……. A new career doing stand-up comedy!!
UPDATE....
Been almost 7 years now of blissful and fun living in beautiful Baja, Mexico!!! ❤️🇲🇽❤️. I cannot think of any scenario that will bring me back to the US. I am now a legal resident of my wonderful adopted country and every day brings a new adventure and new gratitude. It's a big world out there. If not now, when??? Do what makes you happy. Provecho!!!
