Cesar's Story
Life
After high school I attended IVC. Went to work in the Corrections field but left after 2 yrs. Too much ass kissing if you wanted to move up! Got married when I was 23 and still going strong, almost 29 yrs. I have 3 sons(CJ, 28yrs.) (Nicolas, 23yrs.)&(Carlos 22yrs.)
I became a grandfather at 45 and now have 3 grand children. I've been working for the IID for the last 23+ yrs. and can't wait to retire. Most of my work life has dealt with working shift work.(29+yrs.) I've missed a lot of birthdays, anniversaries, kids high school athletic events. All in all, my life has been okay. I'm holding up fairly well!! A little over weight and a little less hair, but I've managed to hold on to my sense of humor. I don't live in Calexico anymore, I live in Holtville. I some times cruise the streets of Calexico to check-out the old haunts and to see how much the old city has changed. I've been on the 1971 reunion committee since the 1st one back in 1981. We've had a 10th,20th & 25th High School Reunions. Plans fizzled out for the 30th. (Sept. 11th 2001 incident)All you 1971 classmates
can e-mail me and I will let you know of any upcoming plans for a 35th reunion. There are so many classmates that we couldn't locate! So pass on the word and have them e-mail me to keep a current list. Hasta la proxima vez!

School
After High School I attended IVC and graduated in 1975 with an A.S. Degree and Law Enforcement Certificate. I sure miss the comraderie of my high school days and attending those exciting football games. Since I still live in the Imperial Valley, I occasionally run in to an old classmate. Most classmates left the Valley after high school and I get to see some old faces during the Class Reunions. I have been on the reunion committee since our 10 yr. reunion. I am one of the contact persons for the reunions. So, if you need some information or just want to drop me a line to give us your address, don't be a stranger.
College
My days at Jr. college were exciting but a lot of hard work since I had to work part-time and attend classes as I could. It took me 4 yrs. to finally finish my course studies to be able to graduate. As a whole I enjoyed my years at IVC especially the muchachas.
Workplace
After getting out of the Law Enforcement arena, I bounced around from a couple of jobs until I ended working as a process operator at a chemical fertilizer plant until it closed its' operations in El Centro. I then went to work for the Imperial Irrigation District in 1982 and have been there since then as a Hydro-electric power plant operator. I've been working rotating shifts for the last 21+ yrs.
