Chad's Story

Life: I spent the years following graduation as a professional student. When my degree was finished at Ball State University, I moved to Washington, DC and considered a future in broadcast law. I worked for a firm there and realized that law wasn't for me. I got an assistanceship in the English department at Ball State and returned for an additional 4-years. As soon as my graduate work was complete (a 2-year program that took 4-years???), I threw everything I owned that would fit in my car and moved to Las Vegas. After 12-years I can't imagine living anywhere else. I have a condo in Brian Head, Utah where I get the chance to do a lot of snow skiing/hiking/fishing. It is really my get away at 11,000 feet. l travel and take the opportunity to do so every chance I get. I have no children, have not been married (unless common law counts and then the jokes on me!), and genuinely enjoy my life. Career: I spent several years as an adjunct English professor at Ball State University and UNLV in Nevada. I made the jump from the academic world to corporate learning systems in 1998. I have been with Camden Property Trust, a national real estate investment trust based out of Houston, TX, as the Regional Director of Education for their west coast portfolio corporate univeristy operations. The states in my purview are Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, and California. If you are interested in more on my professional life, please feel free to access my LinkedIn profile.
