Chad's Story

Life Hey anybody. I joined the Navy out of high school. I was trained at the Nuclear power training command, one of the three toughest schools in the nation. I've been in for three years now. Stationed up in Groton, CT. I volunteered for submarine duty, but due to an injury I'm currently recovering from I am not allowed or have ever been on one. I tore my ACL in a pick-up basketball game two years ago. They had to do four surgeries on it and they still haven't gotten it right. I should be cleared soon though. I don't plan on staying in. I'm doing alright for myself. I live on my own, I'm a 2nd class petty officer who is the supervisor for 26 sailors in my division, and I'm not in debt. I guess that means I'm doing alright at 23. When I get out, because of the field I specialize in, I sould be making about six figures. I'm only 36 credits short of my Nuclear Technology degree, and I have a a semesters worth of credits left to earn my Human Resources degree. I've lived in Charleston, SC, Saratoga Springs, NY, and now Groton,CT since I've been in the service. I just got discharged for Medically under Honorable conditions on 23 November, 2005. I'll be back in Palm Coast for a while helpin...Expand for more
g my mom out finacially until I find a job and probably have to move again. School I would have to say the three teachers that I had the upmost respect for was Coach Stewart Rea, Coach Phil DeAugustino, and Mr. Pryor. Who did I have a crush on? Well I just love the women, so I guess you can say I had many crushes. My funniest and craziest moments in school were probably not there at all. I rarely attended classes and amazed my teachers by aceing their tests, driving them crazy because I just didn't care too much back then. I miss the parties and hanging with my boys: Jeremiah Marshka, Jason Lemon, Robby and Jeremy West, and the rest of the crew. Anyway, I drank away most of my brain cells in the service so I don't remember much of the good times at FPC. But if you remember me and you wanna refresh my memory feel free. Military Went to boot camp on Aug. 27, 2001. Went to Nuclear Power Training Command at Charleston, SC on Nov. 2, 2001. Left there for Saratoga Springs, NY for Nuclear Power Training Unit (Prototype) on Apr 26, 2003. Left there for Subase New London in sunny old Groton, CT on May 20, 2004. Was discharged medically under Honorable conditions on 23 November, 2005.
