Chala's Story
Hello Class of 92
When my family moved to Junction City, Kansas, I went to school at Fort Riley, KS for my 7th grade 1986 -1987. Then I went to Junction City Junior High for my 8th grade 1987 -1988 and 9th grade year 1988 - 1989. I played the clarinet in 7th, 8th, and 9th grades. During my 9th grade, I joined track, and had amazing time running different events and making new friends. I did extremely well in track, and I won lots of medals in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places..
Then I went to Junction City High School for my 10th grade 1989 - 1990. I was in band and the marching band.
Then we moved to Augusta, Georgia, and I went to Butler High School during my 11th grade 1990 - 1991. I was in track during my Junior year. I ran the 400 m, 800 m, and sometimes the mile run. I also, ran 100, 200, and 400 relays. I won lots of medals in my events. I had more 1st place than I did second places. Then last but not least, my Senior yea...Expand for more
r, 12th grade 1991-1992 graduation class of 1992.
After high school, I attended Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, FL. I studied to become a nurse. But I decide to become a mechanic because that is what I did growing up that my Step dad taught me. I always loved to work on cars. So I took classes to get my ASE Certification. I am the Ast. Manager at a lube shop that I worked over 20 years now.
I am a cancer survivor from cervical cancer at the age 19. I have been diagnosed with blood cancer when I was pregnant with my daughter at age 39 to now going on 16 years with a rare ET cancer. It is a slow cancer and no cure, So if I continue my chemo pills, I can still live a long happy normal life as long as my numbers stay low. The year 2020 is when I joined classmate.com. I am so happy and enjoying my life with my daughter, family, and friends. I could never ask for anything more than what I have now, is enough for me.
