Charlene's Story
During my high school years; I worked at Yawn Motor Company. Working after school during the week; and on Saturdays. In 1971; I married Stephen Vackar of Edna, TX. Later that same year; we moved to San Antonio. Together we have two children, our son Lonnie is 33, and our daughter Lisa Marie, who will be 29 this month (June). They both live in San Antonio. Lonnie blessed us with our one and only grandchild; a beautiful grand-daughter Devon who is 9 years old. Lisa is independently single and loves to travel ! !
I have had wonderful experiences & opportunities in my lifetime. I worked many years at several car dealerships, Southwest Research Institute, San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau/Public Relations Dept., & at the San Antonio Greater Chamber of Commerce for Cit...Expand for more

In 1993; I moved to Corpus Christi and 9 mos.later met Glen Searcy with whom I've been with ever since.Throughout the years; we have travelled ALOT (because of Glen's work), and moved about 13 times..different states...so I'm glad to be back in TX. closer to my children, & granddaughter. We now share a "very comfortable" life together; and live in a great neighborhood. We have been so fortunate. My mother & step-dad live about 10 mins. away, and what a joy to have them so near to us ! I come from a large, close knit family. We lost dad in 1980 to cancer.
Overall, Life is so Great ! We all keep the Lord God in our hearts, and live good lives. That's the key to all our happiness.
