David's Story
WOW!!! It's been a long time since high school. In that time I have traveled the world and throughout the United States, lived on a couple of islands, and meant so many people. Now, for quite some time, I live in San Diego, but miss San Antonio. I missed Texas in the springtime with the bluebonnets and buttercups blooming everywhere. I missed fishing on the San Antonio and Guadalupe Rivers. I missed Bill Millers pork chop sandwiches. The list goes on. . .
This last year, I had one of those life events that change my course regarding my lifestyle. Being overweight, I had to choose to continue my reckless indulgence for the love of junk food and died ...Expand for more
miserably and young--or get healthy. Well, I choose to get healty. Now, my weight is 162, cut my bad cholesterol in half, and lowered my blood pressure below 130/80. I did this through diet in moderation and exercise. No diet pills, surgery, nor help from paid programs.
This year has started out to be a good year for me and I hope for you as well. My one son will soon be married and also serves in the Navy. My goals for this year is start a blog/Website, read ten books, start a new hobby, and stay healthy.
Again, may this year be good to you. May God bless you, your families, and our great country. Pray our leaders will make the right decisions too.
