Charlotte's Story
I am now a widow after being happily married to my husband for 37 years in Fredericksburg, VA. I have 3 children, 11 grandchildren, and one dog. I grew up with 4 siblings in Arlington. Two of my brothers went to O'Connell, one older, Jerry, and one younger, Mike. Only Mike and I remain, as the older 3 (2 brothers, 1 sister) predeceased us.
After 35 years of teaching, I retired in 2008 from Education and then worked for 8 years for my husband as the U.S. Office Manager of the company he worked for. As a result I learned a much a about ISO ce...Expand for more
rtification. Since June 30, 2016 I have been fully retired. My husband passed away suddenly in July 2018.
My interests include gardening, drawing, and cardmaking, along with spending time with family, particularly grandchildren. Among my best memories with my husband are of motorcycle trips through New England, Nova Scotia, and around all of the Great Lakes. Now that I live in a 55+ community, I enjoy a weekly card group and some other activities in the community. I continue to get together with retired teachers who became lifelong friends.
