Cheng's Story

School Ah, Shoreline High School and Shorecrest High School was the two places where a lot of my life was spent. I remember being so busy with Math Club, Honor's Society, Tennis, Orchestra where I was 1st violin, 2nd seat. I did not have much luck with the girls. There were several inspiring teacher, Mr. Pappas for math comes to mind, and Mr. Suplin's public speaking class inspired me never to run a film projector ever again, as my demonstration ended up screwing up a roll of unimportant film which was totally embarrasing. I had the biggest crush on two type of girls, smart girls and girls with hot legs. Biggest crush probably centered on cheerleaders and flag girls. If I could do it all over again, I would of liked to experiment more with dating as high school seemed to be full of girls and boys interested in relationships. Instead I focused on academics, which seemed wasteful given that there were many girls I had chances to find out more about. I still remember not daring to dance with girls in school dances, I guess the lack of confidence was the main reason there weren't too many chances for relationships... Fond memories of growing up though. College College was six years of more adult education, meaning you were taking classes with adults as opposed to high school, since everyone with the exception of...Expand for more
this wiz girl in Computer Science major are 18 or over 18. My fondest memories were when I took liberal arts and humanity classes, such as mythology, art history, ancient civilization, history and war, etc. There was one quarter I stayed at the dormitories at UW, on the seventh floor, which was the international floor. That was fun, as I sat in the lounge and drew a lot of my floormates, watched David Letterman, and in general just mingled with a lot of interesting people. My roommate was Buckle Dave, he was an interesting fellow, who is christian and had a lot of computers. Dave gave me one of his Apple II color computer, that was very nice of him, and I played a lot of fun games on that computer. All nighters were most prevalent in intro to Computer Science classes, as every week we were to turn in a program in Fortran, and the only way to turn something in was to work in the computer lab. I enjoyed college friendships with a few fun, attractive and interesting women, Mimi, Lisa, etc. I wished that I kept in touch with my friends, as Philip Shen, Richard Sato, Todd Olsen, Matt, Kirk, etc. were all friends I had when I was at UW for six years, and obtaining my 255 credits. Military Never was in the military, although I was very interested in Navy ROTC, decided against it. Probably should have done it.
