Life After leaving Santa Monica High School in '74, I finished my last two years at Elkton High School in Elkton, Oregon. Just before graduation I married a local boy, Dennis Zieman who I had two children with. My son Bryan who died September 2, 2007 at age 27 and my daughter Kayley, 26. Bryan gave me a grandson, Brendan before he passed. Brendan was born November 14, 2002 and is a "Grandma's Boy!" Kayley is still finding herself and working on and off at present. I moved from Oregon in February of '88 to Washington State for commercial fishing and then on to Alaska in September where I lived for 11 years in the small, bush community of Cordova. I remarried a life-long Alaskan and we owned a fishing business. I entered politics, held local offices, lobbied for state and federal resource protection and legislation and negotiated a multi-million dollar contingency plan with the oil companies to protect the once pristine waters of the Prince William Sound and Copper River Delta. Three winters I lived and worked on the Big Island of Hawaii to thaw out and get another perspective. Then in January of 2000, my daughter and I moved back to the South Bay Area of Los Angeles with my son following the next fall after attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks and fishing his final season out of Cordova. I am now living with a wonderful younger man in "the Valley" (never thought I'd live here!) and just began a new career with Trilogy Financial Services. I will be a licensed financial advisor as well as stockbroker by springtime, so please contact me if your goal is financial independence and you're not sure how to achieve it!
