Cherie Stout's Story
I moved from Texas to Lafayette in '65, and went to Lafayette High graduating in '69. After high school i went to UL, where I met my husband, Kenneth Bourg, a graduating senior. We had a chance meeting when his fraternity held a social with the Sweethearts (I was a new member.) We married in 1970 and made Lafayette our home. We have a daughter and a son. nd we have a camp in Grand Isle, LA. I worked in the business world most of my life, even running a business with my husband for 8 years. My last job took me from business, and landed me in the non-profit world of Lafayette Education Foundation. It was a perfect fit, and I loved every minute of it! Now I am happily retired, but never idle. There are not enough hours in a day for me to fill my enormous bucket list. Life is short, so be kind, and cherish each moment.
