Cherilu's Story
Life Update
11/13/2020 I need to update this profile a little. I have now lived in SW Ohio longer than I lived in Florida. Oh, how I love beautiful Florida, but I have found a good life and friends in Ohio. Sadly, I am newly divorced after 43 years of marriage. My kids are now 37, 35, 32, & 28. I homeschooled them for 22 years and helped lead/direct a support group/co-op for many of those years. Taught children's art classes. I am the secretary for my church and enjoy it very much. I am trusting God for next steps after unexpected changes. I want to live this part of my life well. ou's English class. She was a breath of fresh air. Miss Igoe sure made a difference in my understanding of math the two years I had her and Mrs. Howard's class was always good. Mrs. Parkins was an encouraging homeroom teacher. I attended also Horace Mann Jr. High, Miami Shores Elementary, and Holy Cross Lutheran School.
I studied art/graphic design in college and graduated from FSU in 1978 with a BA. Dave and I married in 1977.
The event that changed my life happened in February of my senior year at Edison. I became a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. I was a very quiet, shy person back then, so few people realized what a change this decision was for me. But I stepped out of one world into another. I have never regretted it.
