Cherry's Story
The wildest thing I ever did in High School was take acid with Yvonne before my English, class with Mrs. Fordyce! It was my Mom's 38th birthday; we were so busted!
The second wildest thing was when Darryl Birdnick and I planned a party at his house during Mr. Palmer's history class. His parents went to Europe for a month. So many people showed up, that the riot squad came and a lot of our friends spent the night in jail. I'd never heard of the riot squad and I was terrified; although I didn't act like it at the time.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Erik Skidmore, because I love him very much.
I would love to be able to spend a weekend with Yvonne, Nicole & Geraldine from Cariboo High School again. We email each other a lot but I really miss them & it would be a lot of fun to spend a girls weekend together & catch up just like we did back then. We'd skip class to go home & watch our soaps.
I think it would be fun to see anyone I went to school with and how their journey has been.
I've often wondered how my sister's friend Julie Miracle faired. I can still see her on the greyhound bus as we drove along side it crying & waving goodbye.
I love cats. When I lived in Fresno I had a tuxedo cat named Miles. He was so cool. We could read each other's minds. He used to play "red light, green light" with me. I didn't know cats knew how to play games! I miss him a lot. He was my pal. I hope someone loving adopted him.
Kids see & hear everything even when we think they aren't paying attention. Please be mindful around your children; your actions today may affect your child for life.
My favorite teacher was Mr. Henry Fitch at Riverside Elementary and our principal, Mr. Wiltermood. They were both very gentle, caring people, who provided a certain sense of security in my life when I didn't feel I had much.
If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to Yvonne at the Friendship House in Mount...Expand for more
Vernon & to Pastor Keith Heck at the Gospel Rescue Mission, in Grants Pass, then spend the rest on setting up trust funds for my daughter & two nephews, pay tuition for my daughter, pay off all my debts, buy houses for my sister's & parents within their financial means and open an animal shelter with top notch veterinarians & create affordable pet medical insurance for animal lovers and I'd setup scholarships & resources for homeless, mentally ill & chemically addicted juveniles & adults.
I live in a dorm right now! It's been a good experience for me. I enjoy learning about my roommates cultures, the camaraderie we share, and living independently; yet not alone. I love to watch the international students experience our American holidays for the first time. It's like experiencing them again as a child. They get so excited. I've learned a great deal about communication and personal boundaries, something I feel I needed to be an asset in my future relationships.
To be truly happy, you would be where, doing what, with whom?
I would be married to Erik, have our own beautiful ranch somewhere that the weather is mild & not so rainy, have my daughter close by in college and/or university, have my cat Miles back, be financially secure, writing fiction novels & active in human interest cases as an independent paralegal, have my own separate studio room for writing & my creative side & if I had the money still provide the stuff I described above.
My current age is 41. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be 70 years old. I was so completely wrong.
My best friend would tell you I'm sweet & harmless, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as nuts. Or; maybe it's the other way around? Maybe you should ask so I know how to answer that!
Still love my jeans, t-shirts & sweats. I know how to dress up but I love being comfortable.
You get one do-over. What do you do differently? Everything.
