Cheryl's Story
I am finally done with school! Thank God! I walked across that stage in June and I must say that was the BEST walk I have ever had in my life! Lawd! An awesome feeling, that was. Now I'm kinda like...envious of those masters robes...lol. I don't know yet. Still thinking about that. Anyhow, I'm just glad to have accomplished such a feat. I don't think y'all know. I didn't walk across the stage in high school, so this walk held and holds an extrememly special place in my heart and mind. It's a wonderful feeling to know that I did it.
Holla.

Ok, Ima give this story wizard a shot...see what I come up with..
I always wanted to be a whole bunch of things when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a vague idea. As it turns out, they were clueless to what I wanted to be..
I come home to my plush sofa and stretch out in front of the tv.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have peace, quiet, and cereal to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My hero is me.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Laura Fasullo, because we were thick as thieves freshman year, the best year ever for me!.
No obsessions. Not yet.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my bathroom and add on a driveway. My dream home would be over 2 million dollars and in Florida. LOL..
I've learned that the new millenium kids are a whole different animal from any other born before them.
If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to my family, then spend the rest on my 2 million plus house, a car or two and I guess I'd travel..
Never experienced campus life per se. I was an adult student. Really adult.
To be truly happy, you would be where, doing what, with whom is the question. Well...happiness is relative. I am happy with where I am now, what I'm doing now, and who I'm with at this time in my life. I could be in the 2K plus house with a coupla cars and have the awesomest husband/job/kids in the world, but I don't think I would be any more happier than I am now. True happiness is not so much in the where, what, and with who, but within you. "It doesn`t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. alls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments."Oriah Mountain Dreamer.
My current age is 37. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old as hell. LOL.. I was so completely delusional! I just realized that Martin Luther King was 38 when he died. I'll be 38 in a matter of weeks. What?? I REALLY thought he was waaaaaaay older than that. .
Career aspirations...I would love to find a job in my field of study, IT. That would be grand.
What happened to your first crush? I don't even remember my first crush. I have no idea.
My best friend would tell you I'm cool, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as aloof.
I share my home with my mother, which I find hmm...it's got it's pros and cons...what can I say..
Got trophies on your mantel? Share a big victory. Graduating was HUGE!
You get one do-over. What do you do differently? Everything. For real.
In 10 years, I hope to be alive. I'm going to get there by living. lol.
Talk about your oldest friendÂhow you met and why you clicked.
My girl Mel and I met when we were working at MCLNO together in the same department. I don't know why we clicked, we just did. Oh and our b-days are a day apart...that might have something to do with it. She's a cool chick. I think we kinda balance each other out where's she's more outspoken and I'm more reserved, among other things.
What about you would surprise everyone at your high school reunion? I don't know if anything would shock anybody. There were only a few who really knew me, and even they didn't know everything about me. I got the impression people really didn't think twice about me in school. If they did, THAT would surprise me at any reunion. Eh.
My first job was at McDonald's, where I got paid minimum wage to work like a dog. LOL. What I remember most about it is the crazy people I worked with at that place. And the work ethic I learned there I still hold with me today. It wasn't such a bad place to work, really. One can learn much about work ethic and themselves. Trust.
