Cheryl's Story
Life
I have been married to Norman Givens for 34 years. We have 3 children, Gwen, Travis and Dewanna. I have 6 beautiful amusing grandchildren. Sabrina, Delsie, Cameron, Dakota, Spencer and now Marshal. Marshal was a twin born on December 14, 2007. Little Mason was his brother and he passed away on December 28 and buried on New Year's Eve 2007. Marshal is almost 4 months old and has been in the hospital all his life with exception to 2 weeks. He is doing much better now and is at home on oxygen.
We have lived in Fairview most of our married life. I work in the trucking industry and drove a dump truck for 7 yrs. We moved to Dickson in August of 2007 and I love it. Where we live is so peaceful like Fairview used to be.

surgery (breastbone came apart) I am needing surgery to repair that. My cardiologist has suggested that I have the gastric by pass surgery. I had that done August 24, 2006. I will wait until after the surgery before I post a current picture.
Norman works as a Help Operator for TDOT. He is a first responder (the yellow/green trucks that drive around Nashville). Chances are if you have a flat tire, God forbid you are in an accident, or run out of gas on the interstate in Davidson County, he may be the one to help you.
I enjoy crocheting, emailing, surfing the web, fishing and after my heart surgery, enjoying life a lot more. In the last 4 years we have lost both of Norman's parents and I lost my brother in March of 2006. That has been really hard for us. The grandchildren have made up for that and have replaced his parents smiles with their own amusing little ones.
