School I made life long friends at Stratford and cherish them still. I stay in close touch with as many as I can. You are my family and I love every one of you. College I went to Austin Peay after high school. When I learned that my mother had cancer I dropped out. She subsequently died of breast cancer. At age 48 I returned to college at MTSU. I got my Bachelor's on my 50th birthday! I was blessed at MTSU with a wonderful mentor, Dr. Diaz, who guided me to the place that I am today. I am thankful that MTSU offered me an Assistantship that enabled me to get my Master of Arts degree. I completed my PhD and work diligently at my position at Tennessee State University.
