Cheryl's Story
Life
Hi Everyone,
Here's a little info on what I've been up to.
In 1983 I married Jim (Corson). We had a daughter. Meghan, in 1986. Jim and I divorced two year later. What can I say, it happens. Shortly after that I married Mike (Bouman). He's been a dream. When I married him I was blessed with two step children. Shannon and Eric (then 11 and 9 yrs old). Shortly after that our son Derek was born August 1989. Since then I have been a stay at home wife and mother for almost the entire 19 yrs of our marriage. I have worked at various jobs and even started my own landscaping business for a time when we lived in CT. It was hard work but so fulfilling. I gave up that line of work though when we moved to PA 9 yrs ago and find if difficult to hold down a job and travel with my husband on business. Meghan just graduated from Kutztown University & Derek (our youngest) is starting his second year there now. Today we have 5 grand daugh...Expand for more
ters. It really is amazing how quickly the years seem to fly by. Mike is the president at Empire Education Group. He's doing well there and it's been very fast paced in the last several years. They have 108 schools in 18 states.
While the past years have been tough. I lost my dad in 2000, My mother in 2005 on Christmas eve and most recently (10/11/2007), my mom's husband Marcy. My life is the best it's ever been.. I am happier then I can remember ever being. Currently Mike and I have 6 grandchildren, 5 girls, 1 boy in that order. I'm sure there will be more as Meghan and Derek are not married or have children yet. Retirement is just around the corner for Mike and we will start a new chapter in our lives. We can't wait!
Life is full of surprises and experiences, it's what you make of them that makes you who you are. I hope your life is full of them. Live life forward but remember to accept your past.
Take care.
