Life
Wow, I am amazed to see so many of us on this site....where to start...? I moved to Hurricane in 1989 and went to high school, then Dixie College. I got married in 1996. We got a Timberwolf. We moved to Salt Lake and lived/worked there until 1998 (then moved to Vegas). Then in March, 2000 my husband and I opened a furniture company then, later, a dollar store, in Meadows Mall in Las Vegas. In July, 2001 we opened a dollar store on State Street in Hurricane. In 2003, we moved back to Hurricane closed our businesses and bought a house and remodled/renovated it ourselves. Our wolf died of Cancer in 2004. We recieved an adoptive placement of our daughter just in time for Christmas 2004. We finalized the adoption of our 4 year old daughter in August 2005. I have traveled for the last 2 years and lived all over the country. My favorite places to live were Manhattan, Albuquerque and Long Island. CRAZY since I consider mys...Expand for more
elf a small town girl! But, I'll definately be visiting Manhattan OFTEN!! I have just about realized all my teenage dreams. I still need to live on a tropical island for a while, but that's about it! I've been on commercials, had my work published in print, met rock starts, jammed in a studio while others made an album. I've seen the Classics on Broadway, consulted business owners, and flown more times to more diverse places than I could have imagined and driven (literally) across the country several times! I have conquered most of my fears. I am allergic (seriously) to the entire states of Nebraska and Illinois (I think it's the corn!). I have created recipes, and most importantly I am making a very large difference in the life of one small but brilliant child! After such an exhausting pace, it's nice to settle back into the easy living/moderate climate of Hurricane. I hope you all have fought for your dreams as well!
