Cheryl's Story

Life Hello! After thirty years, I have retired from Education, and Ray and I have moved from our Byram home to the Poconos. We live four miles from the NASCAR track in Blakeslee. We have an acre of land that is located at the top of the mountain. This is lovely during the summer and interesting (to say the least) during the winter. This area reminds me of Byram when I was young, but it, too, is growing quickly. Life for me is very busy, but I don't do anything in particular. At present, I am spending my time traveling, writing, reading (love historical fiction),and arranging family reunions (large and small), and Ray is teaching at College Misericordia and at Northampton CC. He is still into politics, and he has also become a fan of hockey (baseball, however, remains his favorite.) People are always surprised to learn that I love watching ...Expand for more
open-wheel racing (IRL and CHAMP cars) and have been to several tracks for races. I also follow figure skating. Over the years, I have developed an interest in both ballet and opera; still listen to the oldies from the 60s; and love plays and movies of all kinds. Our daughter, Melissa, is an English teacher (like her Mom), and she and her husband, Brian, bought our Byram home. They are in the process of updating it and making it theirs. They have just presented us with our first grandchild--Juliana Hazel. She is a sweet, sweet baby, and Ray and I are so very fortunate. We live 64 miles apart, and Ray and I visit Jersey often.
