Cheryl's Story
Life
After graduating from Brandeis in '03 with a history major, Peace and Conflict Studies program, International Relations Program (Human Rights focus) and a Jewish Studies minor, I joined the Peace Corps. I served from June 9 03-July 26 05 in the Republic of Moldova (a former Soviet Republic between Romania and Ukraine) as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language. In the near future, I am hoping to attend law school (top choice is Washington College of Law at American University) and obtain a JD and an MA in international relations. Ultimately, I want to work in international human rights law negotiating and writing treaties, working in alternative dispute resolution (arbitration, negotiation, mediation) and helping disadvantaged people to insure their basic rights such as food, shelter, education, safety and security.
