Cheryl's Story
Life
After graduation I attended Kent State University and received my BSN in 1986. I moved to Atlanta, Georgia for a year to work at Piedmont Hospital. I moved back in 1987 and worked in the Cleveland area. I have been married to my best friend Rick for 19 years. We have 4 wonderful children Ricky (15), Jenny (14), Meredith (13), Joey, (12) I went back to graduate school in 1990 at Case Western Reserve University and received my MSN in anesthesia in 1992. We settled in North Royalton in 1994 and my husband owned Quality Tooling Systems in Medina until we moved to Greenville, SC in 2004. We love it here in the south. Working full-time as a CRNA (certified registered nurse anethetist) at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. I enjoy what I do for a living very much. My husband now works for Furman University here in Greenville and hopes to retire from there. We have 2 Bichon Frise Dogs, Daisy and Frodo. To stay sane, I continue to run, play golf and tennis. My newest love is riding my 2004 Harley Davidson Heritage Classic with a 1440cc engine and Vance/Hines pipes. I ride whenever I can. We take long rides in the mountains and to the coastal beaches. College
Attended Kent State University 1982-1986 for my BSN. Lived in Fletcher Hall for two years and then Glen Morris apartements for two. Had a lot of fun but if I could do it all over, I'd have more fun and study less. :)
I met some of my most valued and loved friends during these years and will always cherish the memories.
Attended Case Western Reserve University 1990-1992 for my MSN in Anesthesia through Mt. Sinai Medical Center.
Workplace
My first job was at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. in 1986-87.
I moved back to Ohio and I worked at University Hospitals of Cleveland from 1987-1988 then Parma Community hospital until 1990 when I was accepted to anesthesia school. After graduation in 1992 I worked at Mt. Sinai medical center, Hillcrest hospital and the Cleveland Clinic for several years. Just before leaving Ohio I worked full-time at Southwest General Hospital. Since our move to SC in 2004, I have worked at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley which was a tedious and difficult administration to deal with. In Jan 07, I started work at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and enjoy it very much.
