Hi guys, After Notre Dame, I went to Wayne State and graduated in 1971. Fortunately, my number in the draft lottery at that time came up high, and I avoided being drafted for Vietnam.....Whew! Got married in my senior year at Wayne State. ( what a crazy f***** idea that was; got divorced 4 years later) Started my healthcare industry career at BlueCrossBlue Sheild of Michigan, subsequently worked at the Detroit Medical Center and then Providence Hospital......In 1980 I accepted a healthcare management opportunity in Chicago at the University of Chicago medical center...got married again and my wife Judy gave birth to our daughter Jessica.... also got my MBA from the U. Chicago, and spent 32 years there before accepting a new opportunity at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2012, where I served as Vice Chair of administration and finance for the department of medicine for 4 years.. Left UIC in 2016 for a physician practice management opportunity at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. Retired from full time emplyment in early 2020, just before the pandemic crippled NYC.
