Chic's Story
After high school Chic graduated from Peirce Junior Colle and transferred to Frostburg State College (MD), where he hoped to become a history teacher and wrestling coach. School did not work out, however, and he wound up spending four years in the Navy.
While serving in Norfolk, VA, Chic got a chance to work part-time in the Norfolk Virginian-Pilot newspaper, opening the door to a 42-year career in journalism that included stints as Sports Editor at the Elizabeth City Daily Advance (NC), the Delaware County Daily Times (PA) and The Pilot...Expand for more

After living for 30 years in the Norfolk area, Chic and wife Connie (Cummins, ‘68 HHHS grad) moved to Westield IN in 2022 to be near their daughter and grandson. Tragedy quickly struck as Connie died of a heart attack a week after the move. They had been married for 52 years.
Chic stayed in Westfield and is now in relationship with a widowed neighbor in their Over 55 condo community.
Chic still follows Philadelphia teams, especially the Phillies and is obsessed with playing pickleball and binge-watching British detective TV series.
